사단법인 한국뮤지컬제작사협회(이하 협회)는 한국 뮤지컬 시장의 확장과 경쟁력 향상을 목적으로 설립되었습니다. 협회는 앞으로 뮤지컬 제작의 기반 제도 마련 및 정책 제안 등을 통해 한국 뮤지컬 시스템 합리화 및 산업적 대안의 기초를 다질 것입니다. 뮤지컬 창작의 질적 발전과 해외 진출 및 시장 확대를 위한 방안, 일자리 창출 관련 규정 마련 등 뮤지컬 시장 발전을 위한 사업을 수행하며, 회원 간 신뢰를 바탕으로 상호 협력과 유대관계 강화로 공동 발전 방향을 모색하여 문화예술 발전을 도모할 것입니다.
협회는 25개 이상의 주요 뮤지컬 제작사와 협업하여 세계 시장에서도 경쟁력을 갖출 수 있는 창작 뮤지컬을 개발하고, 뮤지컬 관련 네트워크 시스템을 구축하여 작가와 작곡가, 연출, 무대·조명·의상 디자이너 등 제작 인력과 효율적으로 협업, 뮤지컬 핵심인력 유치 및 양성 체계 마련하여 뮤지컬 시장을 발전시켜 나갈 것입니다.
또한, 국내 뮤지컬 산업 보호와 해외 진출의 기회를 제공하는데 필요한 제도적 정비, 저작권 보호, 부가 판권 시장의 확대 등 구체적이고 실현 가능한 정책을 제시하고 한국 뮤지컬 시장의 발전을 위한 합리적인 제작방식, 특히 배우와 스태프 등의 표준계약서를 마련하고 대학로 소극장 뮤지컬과의 지속적인 상생발전을 이어 나갈 수 있도록 균형적이고 미래지향적인 정책적, 산업적인 대안을 찾아 나가는 데 노력할 것입니다.
마지막으로 뮤지컬인들과 뮤지컬을 사랑하는 관객들이 함께 만드는 공연 예술 축제인 뮤지컬어워즈를 중심으로 아시아 시장을 비롯한 영미권 시장에서도 주목하는 뮤지컬 마켓을 기획하여 국내 뮤지컬 시장에 활기를 불어넣음과 동시에 한국 뮤지컬의 발전과 활성화에 기여할 것이며, 소외계층을 위한 문화 참여 프로그램을 제공함으로써 문화 향유권 신장 및 문화 양극화 해소에 이바지할 것입니다.

My name is Chunsoo Shin, the first chairperson of Korean Association of Musical Producers and CEO of OD Company.
Korean Association of Musical Producers(KAMP) was born to enhance the global competitiveness of the Korean musical industry and the quality of original Korean musical shows by developing sustainable production systems and overseeing government relations for the musical industry. We aim to organize an interactive and inclusive theatre community among our members to better achieve our common interests.
Collaborating with more than 25 major musical producing companies in Korea, we will develop original musicals with competitiveness in the global market, and advance our industry by creating a musical networking system allowing efficient collaboration with book writers, composers, directors, scenic·lighting·costume designers, and by coming up with professional development programs for theatre practitioners.
In order to protect our industry and provide modes of international market entry, we will arrange viable means, such as overhauling institutional arrangements, preventing our productions from unlicensed or uncredited usage, and expanding the secondary market. We will continue to make an effort to develop sustainable production systems, outlining the terms and conditions of employment for actors and creative team members, etc. Furthermore, for a win-win situation for Daehangno small theatres and big musical productions, we will endeavor to find well-balanced, future-oriented, political, and industrial alternatives.
Last but not least, starting from a musical awards ceremony, we will expand our market, attracting interests not only from Asian countries but from all over the world. It will be a festival for all musical professionals and audience members, and promote and vitalize the Korean musical industry.We will also contribute to promoting cultural rights of the underprivileged and cultural equity by hosting programs for those who otherwise have limited access to or little opportunity to participate in musical-related events.
